Spring is just around the corner, a time for new beginnings – and a chance to create your 2008 editorial calendars, if you haven’t already done so.
You may be wondering why it’s so important to have editorial calendars for your blogs.
They are important because they help you provide relevant information to your clients and potential customers, right when they need it – or even just a tad before they even realize that they do!
For example, let’s say that you’re selling income tax software and your product contains cutting edge features that allow its users to take full advantage of last minute deductions. Some of your clients may not be aware of new deductions – so this topic belongs on your 2008 editorial calendars now, for filing of 2007 taxes – and again in October or November, which will give your clients time to take full advantage of these tax deductions in 2009.

Website optimization: your site can be attractive and SEO friendly.
Remember that famous phrase from the movie Field of Dreams? “If you build it, they will come.” From an SEO web development perspective, this could not be further from the truth. The line would have to be, “If you build it to be SEO friendly, they will come.”
So, just how do you build an SEO friendly website? Here we will cover a few of the basics that are essential for developing an effective SEO website.
Your site does not need Flash to be flashy.
Simply put, Flash looks cool, but Flash is not your friend for website optimization. Search engines cannot see or index Flash content, so it is a bad idea to build an entire website in Flash. So bad, in fact, that this practice is commonly known as “SEO suicide.”
