AdWords Qualified Professional

Granting another person access to your Google AdWords Account.

When you hire a pay per click firm, it is helpful to give them their own access to your Google AdWords Account. This allows them to look at the account without compromising the account. It also allows you to keep tabs on their activities within your account through the History tool.

Directions on how to add an additional user to your Google AdWords account.

Follow these directions when you wish to add an additional user to your Google AdWords account.

  1. Login to your AdWords account.
  2. Click on “My Account.”

  3. Click on “Access.”

  4. Click on “Invite other users.”

  5. On the “Invite Others to Access this Account” screen, enter the email address and name of the person you wish to grant access to.
  6. Choose the access level you wish to grant this person.
    1. Administrative Access – This gives the person full access to your account, including making billing changes and campaign changes. If The Search Guru will be managing your account, choose this level.
    2. Standard Access – This gives the person access to only your campaigns and reports. The person will not be able to modify billing or access permissions. If The Search Guru will be assessing your account so that we can discuss the possibility of managing your account, choose this level.
    3. Reports Access – This gives the person only the ability to view the accounts. They will not be able to make any modification nor see any of your campaigns.

These levels can be changed later on.
  7. Click on Continue.
  8. On the “Personalize your invitation” screen, you may personalize the invitation, but it is not required.
  9. Click on Continue.
  10. On the “Review and send” screen, check that the information is correct.
  11. If the information is correct, click on “Send Invitation.”
  12. Once the invitation has been sent, you must wait for the person you invited to accept the invitation. This should happen within 24 hours. If the invitation is not accepted in 24 hours, contact the person to be sure that they received it.
  13. Once the person has accepted the invitation, there will be an alert posted on the Account Snapshot.

  14. Click on “Access” in the message.
  15. At the top of the “Access” screen, there will be another alert.

Click on “I Agree to the Above, Grant <<Name>> Access.”

The access to your AdWords Account has now been granted to this person. Please note, that granting access to your AdWords account does not grant access to your Analytics account. We recommend that you also grant The Search Guru access to your Analytics account so that we can better understand your campaigns and their performance. Please read the instructions on how to grant access to your Analytics account .
